Happy Hour & Craft Beer Panel
May 15, 2019 – 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
For May’s Lift Digital Marketing Session, we’re toasting to the brewers, beverage experts, and marketers who are championing Oklahoma City’s burgeoning craft beer scene. Learn how they’ve gotten their small businesses off the ground and which digital marketing tactics helped them along the way. Come raise a glass with us from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, on the rooftop of Elk Valley Brewing Co., and hear from Bryan Grigsby, sales and marketing representative at Elk Valley; David Hoffner, creative director of Upsidedown Design; Victoria Still, social media specialist and remote partner of BigWing Agency; and Brad Stumph, owner of the Brewers Union. The event kicks off with a happy hour from 5:30-6. Panelists take the stage from 6-7 p.m. The event is free and open to all. First round’s on BigWing.
Bryan Grigsby is the sales and marketing representative for Elk Valley Brewing Co. He previously worked at Refresh Creative Management alongside his much more talented and intelligent wife, Jenny, handling social media, events, PR, and more for a variety of clients across OKC. In his spare time he plays with dogs (not necessarily his own), geeks out over movies, books, and video games with his sons, and drinks beer recreationally instead of professionally.
David Hoffner is the creative director for Upsidedown Design based in Norman, Oklahoma, and has nearly 20 years of experience in design and marketing. David loves giving a beer its own identity almost as much as he enjoys drinking them. He can’t tell you exactly what makes an IPA an IPA or a stout a stout, but he sure as hell knows how to convince you to try one. David is currently working with Anthem Brewing, helping to guide them through the evolving Oklahoma craft beer market.
Victoria Still (moderator)
Victoria Still is a social media specialist based out of Oklahoma City and a remote partner of BigWing. She is a graduate of the Temerlin Advertising Institute for Education and Research at SMU in Dallas and has been an enthusiastic social media user since you had to have a “.edu” email address to access Facebook. She began her social media marketing career in the craft beer industry, helping a local brewery expand from two states to seven, seven employees to 25, and a taproom launch following SB 424. She has since expanded her portfolio to include social media management and advertising for industries such as health care, retail, politics, and higher ed. Her favorite beer will forever be COOP F5 IPA but she’ll never say no to a night cap stout.
Brad Stumph began his career in craft beer as a co-founder of Black Mesa Brewing Co., where he worked with local artist Jason Pawley to develop the brewery’s branding. He now owns Brewers Union, a brewing incubator that helps start-up brewers become breweries. Current members of Brewers Union include Crossed Cannons Brewery, Skydance Brewing Co., Madhopper Brewing, and Cross Timbers Brewing Co. Former members include Elk Valley Brewing Co., Vanessa House Beer Co., and Angry Scotsman Brewing Co.
